When you submit information to The Mortgage Professor, LLC,, we aim to protect your data and only share it at your request. This notice, in compliance with Federal Regulations, details Mortgage Professor Inc.’s Privacy Policy, including what types of information we collect and who it may be shared with in order to complete your transactions. This notice details the types of information we collect, who we might share this information with, and the security measures we have in place to respect the privacy and confidentiality of the information we collect.

I. Personal information we collect:

  • Any information that you provide to us, including during the process of completing applications for forward mortgages, reverse mortgages, Retirement Funds Integrator (RFI), and/or annuities.
  • The information collected for an individual can include name, Social Security number, address, date of birth, phone number, marital status, gender, driver license number, dependent information, income and credit history, bank account information and employment information. While this list is not exhaustive, it should give you an idea of the types of information we are referring to in this notice.

II. Personal information we may disclose and to whom:

  • We only disclose your information for the purposes of initiating and completing transactions that you request. For example, in an RFI transaction that involves an annuity and/or reverse mortgage, Mortgage Professor, Inc. would disclose your information only to the annuity provider and/or reverse mortgage selected for your situation.
  • We do not disclose any of the above-described personal information about our current and former customers to any non-affiliated third parties, except as required by law (such as for completing a requested transaction), and/or if authorized by our customers.
  • Any information disclosed is only to affiliated third parties necessary to perform our duties regarding consumating an RFI transaction. Examples of affiliated third parties that may we need to share information with to provide annuity quotes and/or coverage are the following:
    • Insurance Companies
    • Reverse Mortgage Lenders
    • Affiliated RFI Advisors
  • This list is an example of how information needs to be shared but may not be all-inclusive.

III. Our practices regarding confidentiality and security:

  • We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees and/or affiliates who need to know that information in order to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and organizational safeguards to protect information about you.
