Mortgage Advice and Counsel
FIND ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS There are four ways to answer your question. One way is to indicate whether you are a house shopper, purchaser or owner, and then follow the menu choices until you reach your question. House Shoppers are in the early stages of house hunting and don't know yet how much they are going to spend. House Purchasers have priced their house and need to find a mortgage. House Owners have their house and mortgage, but have questions about refinancing, paying off early, or other issues. ************** Glossary is an alternative approach. Scroll down the list until you find an item related to your question that is linked to an article. Click on the link. ************** Table of Contents is still another approach. It allows you to see the entire structure of the web site at a glance, and to click on any page you want to see. ************** Mistakes to Avoid is yet another approach. It lists a number of common mistakes, and cites the article that explains why it is a mistake. OTHER FEATURES Decision Aids are a new tool for tough decisions, simpler than calculators and spreadsheets. They will cost you a few bucks, but there is no charge to look. Recent Columns shows the most recent of the Professor's nationally syndicated columns. Public Policy Issues pulls together articles that bear on Government policies and practices that impact the home loan market. Calculators brings you to the menu of calculators. Individual calculators are referenced in the articles to which they apply. Upfront Mortgage Brokers (UMBs) lists brokers who are prepared to act as your agent in shopping for a loan, along with other information about the UMB movement. Upfront Mortgage Lenders (UMLs) describes the information needed to shop for a mortgage effectively on the internet, and lists the lenders who provide this information. Leave Question/Comment allows you to communicate with the mortgage professor. About the Professor is a short bio of the professor, just in case you are curious. Spreadsheets lets you save some useful spreadsheets to the hard drive of your computer.
